I manufacture these items in house and intend for them to last a lifetime. I like to put all my range toys inside these pouches so they can be piled within my vault without the bulk of padding. I'm not a fan of padding because it's almost always imported and it's always bulky for storage. The thick nylon is plenty to keep charging handles, levers, knobs and safeties from gouging adjacent weapons. I can mix and match pieces for the range and throw them in a pelican case or converted toolbox. So long as they aren't crushed together in a soft bag, the nylon offers plenty protection within a hard case, safe or vault. My blued, chromed, DLC, alumahyde, cerocote, duracoat and spray paint jobs are no worse for wear after storage and repeated range trips. These have worked well for me and they may for you as well.
